The Governor's Summer Learning Challenge

has activities and reading lists curated to help your student have fun reading this summer. Participating in this challenge is a fun way to help your student stay engaged with reading and keep using literacy skills to explore and learn about the world. This year's theme is "Plant a Seed, Read." By reinforcing the importance of reading with your child you can help to make sure they return to school in the fall ready to start a new year of learning.

Commissioner's Summer Math Challenge

offers highly engaging ways to have fun and keep math skills sharp over the summer months. Please click on the link and print out a packet for the grade level your child is entering in the Fall! Practicing math facts is also a powerful way to help students return to school ready to tackle new, more complex concepts. A little bit of practice a few times a week can go a long way towards maintaining skills over the summer and setting your child up for success in the Fall!
